Goldcrests

The Goldcrest is our take on the "classic" underbust, though it is very different to most classic corset design...

Each boning channel you can see here is actually a seam, a new panel. The Goldcrest pattern has 10 panels per side, which creates a very flexible and lightweight corset. Of course you want to ensure your measurements are suitable for the standard sizing, but the unique thing about the Goldcrest is how it works within that standard sizing...

The mannequin pushes this Goldcrest into a dramatic shape. My client has a more slender athletic figure, which the corset will likewise accommodate.

Essentially, each seam acts as a hinge. This flexibility allows the corset to adjust to the unique fullness, flatness, and asymmetry of your shape (for this reason, if you require a corset that disguises dramatic asymmetry the Goldcrest is not recommended). For example, if you had two ladies with the same measurements, they might find that those proportions are distributed differently. The first lady's hips may be very full from side-to-side, whilst the second lady may carry more of her hips to the back. The "hinges" of the Goldcrest and it's light single-layer construction let it flex to accommodate such differences.

The Goldcrest is not a waist-training corset, but instead has been designed with sleek streamlining in mind. Whether ordered plain as foundation wear (eg: to give smoothness and shape beneath a wrap dress) or embellished, the Goldcrest is a sweet little design.
