aesthetic art corsetry

The weekend!

I'll be working at various points, but am mostly looking forward to seeing a couple of friends tomorrow and thus being able to relax during this intense heat. Well, it's intense for me, anyway! Far too warm. I was on my twin-needle machine today (stitching Phoenix/Goldcrest corsets and Birds Wing toiles), I really had expected that particular room to be cooler than it was. After all, it never heats up in the winter! May need to buy a little fan or two, you don't want me fainting whilst I'm working on your pretty corset, haha.

Here, have some more X-E1 and Helios 58mm snaps.

Oh, hello dark-laptop-screen reflection.

Goodness, a corset! Didn't expect that, did you. Not a great photo, all of these were really on the fly (to practice manual focus and such). I still adore these mannequins from Proportion London, the raw papier maché is beautiful. The corset shown here is actually in a pale gold mesh with mink casings/binding. Very pretty.
