A bit of Sparklewren history
Many of you may know or recognise Sparklewren from other online communities. As I have developed the brand I have shared my work with many other corsetieres, seamstresses, corset-enthusiasts and friends through networks such as facebook, myspace, and livejournal. The process of discussing mine and other’s work has been invaluable to me and gives a real insight into the work of a corsetiere. I would recommend anyone interested in learning more about this to visit the corsetmakers and corsetry communities on livejournal.
These sites will still be active alongside the website, and comments and questions are welcomed. Please do note, however, that I check my emails, this website, and livejournal the most regularly.
I also run an etsy shop where you can find a selection of sample pieces ready for immediate shipping.
If you’d like to know a little bit more about myself or Sparklewren, I would advise you to read through my livejournal. It contains a lot of detail on my previous work, the processes involved, and the different design challenges faced, along with a few personal notes on books, events, movies, clothing and so on. Please also feel free to add me as a friend or bookmark this site for regular updates.
