Cold cold hands
Doing a flossing tester for a client this morning, but I can barely feel my fingers. Why is it so cold in this house?!
I also have a corset in gold rose coutil with pale gold silk (for me!) that perhaps wants some decorative flossing on the busk panel, not sure yet. Actually, I might not floss it. A current client piece is going to be so heavily flossed, that I can purge my desire for flossing there!
I’m making my gold one more as a lingerie piece, so it’s quite quickly put together. I lose my desire to be a perfectionist when making things for myself, does anyone else do this? I feel like it’s slightly non-sensical, since I suppose I deserve nicely made corsets as much as the next person… but I do always prefer making things for other people. Anyway, it’s a single layer corset with some silk covered external casings and even more interior applied casings. I’m not a huge fan of interior casings, but I want something thin and supple for regular wear. I’m using it as an excuse to play around with the curves of the top and bottom lines too, which is fun.
