well I am officially back from my Christmas break. The next two or three days may be, predictably, relaxed but normal service will be resumed presently

The next few weeks will see some client pattern drafting, toiles shipping, finishing touches on a couple of orders and alterations, lots of pretty silks, possibly some further development on a historical pattern that I’m altering (click here for my recent post showing mock-up progress so far) and maybe even a sample cincher or two! With that in mind, I am writing a post on the difference between Sparklewren samples and ready-to-wear corsets. Some of you may be thinking, “wait, there’s a difference?”, which is why I have tried to be as clear as possible in explaining my use of the terms. It isn’t that one is superior to the other, but simply that they fulfill different functions and fit into my business model in different ways.
Anyway, Happy New Year! The first four months of Sparklewren Bespoke Corsetry has involved hard-work, long hours, and many new experiences, but it has been great fun and thoroughly rewarding also. That is in no small part as a result of the people I work with/for and the support I receive from both my “real life” and “online” friends.
