Neutral summer corset - flossing sampler
There’s a few ideas here, as the client has pretty much given me free reign with her flossing. We have two neutral threads and two shades of muted sage green as accent details so that she can choose which colours she likes the most.
There is going to be plenty of purely decorative flossing across the corset (only visible from the outer layer, the inside will be nice and smooth) with functional “V” flossing at the steel ends. I’ve re-prised the sprays of daisies (I can’t help myself, I love them, and it was the daisies on my candyfloss corset that originally gave the client the idea of a heavily flossed corset), though I think we’ll probably end up going with a less floral idea. I do like the criss-crossing with lighter couched thread and can visualise it “outlining” the spoon busk nicely. I did a quick chain stitch with the same thought in mind.
I’m excited to see where we go with this corset
